Cinema, music, gastronomy, our favorites and ideas for sightseeing in Corrèze for the weekend of February 2 to 5
Shooting scenes from sci-fi classics with almost nothing, but lots of creativity, finding something to please your taste buds, attending a concert, taking your child to a children’s book fair… While the sun has decided to return, finally after a full January cloud and rain, this first weekend in February hides an array of sunny and warm events for all ages and all tastes. To help you see more clearly, here are our favorites and suggested outings.
1. Shoot a scene from the movie Alien
The city of Brive will be the capital of science fiction from February 2 to 15 in Rex cinemas and in the media library
on the occasion of the Les Mycéliades festival. During the first weekend of the event, we will be able to see screenings of great classics of the genre and take part in various activities, culminating in the “suede” workshop which will allow to recreate, meaningfully in hand, a scene from the film.Foreign
, Monday from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm. It will play that same night at Rex’s cinema. (for ages 15 to 25 years, registration on 05.55.18.17.50.) The Brive Festival kicks off this Thursday night at 8:30 p.m. with a screening Gagarinby Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh. Saturday, in the media library, from 15.00 to 16.30, there will be a science fiction workshop, with the creation of visual aids (from 15 years old, registration 05.55.18.17.50).

by Denis Villeneuve. In the same place, at 7 pm, will be playedAlien, the eighth passenger
, the initial work of the fantastic saga directed by Ridley Scott. Finally, at 9pm, the role-playing game with Alien will begin, hosted by the board game shop, Le Gobelin Gaillard (**).

2. Truffles and foie gras are a highlight at Brive
Some radicals say “fat is life”. Without going any further, fat can be synonymous with gastronomic delight. Fans are expected this Saturday, February 4, at the Brive market, where there is also a controlled market selling fresh truffles and the award-winning Foire Grasse with geese and duck.
Chef of the Tables gaillardes will offer recipes and demonstrations. To warm up, the myco-gastronomic brotherhood will share porcini soup. To be won: gift basket.

4. French history that teenagers see in Tulle Imagine a classroom in which three students reenact, in their vignettes of their invention, a historical episode, in their own way depicting the great figures of the national narrative. The lesson boils down to one question: Is there one or more French histories?
Full of fantasy and accuracy, the three teens’ responses and their imaginations running wild highlight certain everyday heroes, and the lesson to be learned from the Compagnie du Double show, Histoire(s) de France, is no exception, this Thursday 2 February at 7 p.m. Théâtre de Tulle (from 10 years old).
