Hogwarts Legacy, Octopath Traveler 2… All video games releasing February 2023


After a relatively discreet January in the video game category, the time has come for the giants. February and March will both be key months in terms of releases.

Some of the most anticipated projects by the public are planned for the first half of 2023, and the month of February saw several of them. In a few weeks, fans will be able to enter the fantastical world of Hogwarts in Hogwarts Legacy, travel the world in Octopath Traveler 2, immerse themselves in the horrors of The Forest or Resident Evil 4, or face the real Atomic Heart. Used once again by Deep Silver, this sequel promises us several hours of wonderful cooperative action, several hundred zombies on the west coast of America, and several dozen weapons to build and upgrade. Named the most anticipated game of 2023, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom is an event in itself. The eyes of the whole world will be on this release straight from the Nintendo studio, and one that intends to align itself with the success of its acclaimed predecessor: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo therefore offers us the sequel to the most popular open world to date, and the second strong argument in the permanent war of home consoles. Tears of the Kingdom will be available on May 12, 2023.

For the end of the first half of 2023, players will be able to find two licenses they have missed in recent years. Blizzard led the dance with the release of the massive Diablo 4, expected for nearly a decade to take over the much criticized Diablo 3. This would be a watershed moment in the history of fellow studio Activision, for a long time under the scrutiny of criticism and even justice for its questionable choices when it came to in-game monetization, or even when it came to team management.
