The Pixel 7 Pro is the flagship of Google’s 2022 catalog. The smartphone, photo-oriented like its predecessor, seamlessly improves on the (very good) performance of its predecessor.

The Pixel 7 Pro confirms the good copy made last year by the Pixel 6 Pro. Smartphones flesh out a formula that hits the spot: Google’s put an incredibly bright Oled display, a powerful Tensor G2 chip, and photo gear into one of the most versatile terminals around. Android 13 deserves certain enhancements (voicemail transcription, free VPN coming) that deliver this successful material. Of course, we regret that smartphones don’t do better in terms of autonomy and fast charging, an area where Google doesn’t work miracles, and this year we can blame the terminal for its rather massive design. But these elements, in our opinion, are not enough to darken this very convincing picture.

The Find X5 Pro from Oppo is a very convincing successor to the already very successful Find X3 Pro. This smartphone doesn’t show off when it comes to photography, it doesn’t play a megapixel count card, it’s a software processor. It does its job and its ability to do well, even very well at wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle, compensates for the slightly lower optical magnification than its direct competitors. For the rest, Find X5 Pro has a beautiful appearance, not excessive power, but enough, and good autonomy (not to mention fast charging which is very practical). With such a device, Oppo insists that it deserves a place in the big leagues.
