During this winter sale, one of Samsung’s 2022 flagships, the Galaxy S22, was shown at a very attractive price: instead of 809 euros, it is now offered at 629 euros at Électro Dépôt.
This is no longer a surprise, but it is better to wait a few months to pay less for the smartphones that catch our eye, as prices naturally fall. Such is the case of the Samsung Galaxy S22 for example: released at the beginning of 2022, this premium smartphone equipped with a 120 Hz screen and good power was shown at a much more attractive price during this winter sale thanks to a reduction of 180 euros.

Advantages of OLED in compact smartphones
The Samsung Galaxy S22 first adopts a somewhat bulkier size compared to other premium references located in the same price range. Thus, we deserve a 6.1-inch screen, which allows it to be tucked into a pocket. It’s not as compact as the iPhone mini, but its diagonal will still be very pleasing to those who are reluctant to hold an almost 7-inch device in their hands.
The main asset of this design is still this AMOLED panel, framed by a very thin bezel, and equipped with Full HD + definition (2,340 x 1,080 pixels). The screen also benefits from an adaptive refresh rate that can reach up to 120 Hz, which is a guarantee of excellent fluidity in application displays. Otherwise, everything is protected by tough Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ glass.
Solid performance, but average battery life
Regarding performance, the Galaxy S22 is powered by the Exynos 2200 SoC sculpted in 4 nm (and compatible with 5G), which offers good power in multitasking. Powerful applications will run without a hitch. However, the results weren’t great in terms of graphics performance, and some slowdowns are something to be afraid of in certain games, like Fortnite. Android 12, with One UI 4 interface, promises a very smooth user experience.
To keep all these beauties working, we still have to deal with average autonomy, because the 3700 mAh battery does not allow the smartphone to last a full day with intensive use. We’ll entertain ourselves with fast charging (up to 25W) and wireless charging, which are coming soon, but we’ll have to make sure to keep the charger close to you, just in case.
The photo section that replaces everything
The photo section allows the Samsung Galaxy S22 to catch up: thanks to its three 50 + 12 + 10 megapixel sensors (wide-angle telephoto, ultra-wide-angle and x3) located on the left edge of the smartphone. The device provides great versatility, with particular attention to the good level of detail visible in the shots captured by the main sensor. In short, we have a good photophone here, although dynamic range control can be patchy at times with some lenses.
