Like the Pro version, the Oppo Find X5 is an excellent smartphone, without any downsides, with the possible exception of a lack of water resistance. To reduce bills, Chinese manufacturers have made small concessions on the technical sheet, such as the choice of SoCs coming from 2021 or panels without LTPO technology. In use, this choice proves to be wise, as the smartphone is highly efficient, provides satisfactory autonomy and holds its ground in photography. However, the price remains very high, and faces stiff competition. Therefore, it is an attractive alternative for those who are not interested in the price of the Find X5 Pro.
Strong point
- The finish is pleasant to the touch.
- Very good OLED display.
- Strong and stable SoC.
- Versatile in photography.
- Good battery life and fast charging.
Weak point
- Lack of water resistance certification.
- There is no LTPO technology for screens.
- A 2x telephoto lens is less convincing than other smartphone photo modules.

Like its predecessor, the Google Pixel 7 is an excellent smartphone. It benefits from a beautiful screen, a powerful SoC, and a very good duo of photo sensors. Plus, its price positioning makes it more affordable than most of its high-end competitors, without making any real concessions. We can definitely blame it for heating up in games, always slow recharging, or too much resemblance to the Pixel 6, but these flaws do less to the general experience, being even more intuitive under Android 13.
