A memorial Mass for the 230th anniversary of the death of King Louis XVI (beheaded 21 January 1793), will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 24, at 12:15 p.m., in the church of Saint-Michel-des-Lions, in Limoges, with, in the preamble, the reading of the king’s will. The Philippe-et-Françoise-Meynier Royalist Federation, which is organizing the celebrations, asked participants to arrive by 11:45 a.m. at the church, out of respect for the program. Meals are planned after mass, starting at 1 p.m., at restaurant Le Marceau, 2, avenue de Turenne, place Marceau, in Limoges. Contact: 06.07.08.17.55.

Sunday January 22nd, from 15.00 to 17.00, the La Loutre nature center in Verneuil-sur-Vienne organizes a free event open to everyone, with the theme “Animal presence index”. Most animals are cautious and difficult to observe, but they leave traces of their journey… Come and learn to spot signs of presence that you can recognize if you are attentive.

Madrigal Ensemble of Limoges and Gabriel-Fauré Vocal Ensemble of Angoulême will be in concert Tuesday January 24th at 8:30 p.m. at Espace Noriac in Limoges, in a program of tunes from the 20th and 21st centuries (Fauré, Britten, Debussy, Gjeilo, Hindemith, Nysdet, Pärt, Vaughan-Williams, Gauthier).

The marmottes wake up, a theater association created in Eyjeaux in 2015, will present the play Marmots on the beach Saturday 21 January at 20:30 in the Champnétery (Albert-Champeau room). Admission €10, €8 to 15 years.
