TOP 5 files of the day that can’t be missed
1. Lirola won’t go to Monza…
Rebound in Pol Lirola’s file! Failed during his loan spell at Elche, the Olympique de Marseille right side will join Monza this winter, as part of a new temporary assignment with an option to buy. But the general manager of the Italian club Adriano Galliani announced the end of this track!
We followed him for a bit then gave up, announced the former leader of AC Milan. It remains to be seen whether OM will be able to find another base in January for the Mollet del Valls native, under contract until June 2026.
2. Skriniar says yes Paris!
Danger confirmed for Inter Milan! As expected, centre-back Milan Skriniar, whose contract expires next June, has turned down the Italian club’s latest extension offer. And according to information from daily L’Equipe, the Slovakia international has even said yes to joining Paris Saint-Germain next summer!
Interested in the former Sampdoria man’s services last summer, the Parisian leadership have been in constant contact with his entourage and have even secured a verbal agreement with a view to a free arrival at the end of the season. But be warned, PSG have not ruled out the idea of moving this winter should Inter open the door for a cheaper transfer, expected to be between 10 and 15 million euros.
3. Chelsea is still very hot…
In this winter transfer window, Chelsea has clearly established itself as a major player in the market. Already very active, the Blues will soon register the arrival of PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke with a check for 35 million euros. And after this transfer period, the club from London still intends to strengthen its midfield.
As well as the trail leading to Brighton talent Moises Caicedo, whose initial €62 million bid was rejected, the current 10th Premier League player has also made an approach for Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma, according to British outlet The Telegraph. But despite the possibility of reinstating winger Hakim Ziyech in this deal, Spurs are reluctant to give up on the former Lille.
4. Depay sells Atletico (official)
As expected, striker Memphis Depay left FC Barcelona for Atletico Madrid in this winter transfer window. This Friday, the Blaugrana made official the departure of the Netherlands international, sold for 3 million euros and an additional 1 million euros in bonuses. For his part, the Netherlands international has signed a contract until June 2025 with the Colchoneros.
And the Catalan club have also negotiated a clause as part of this deal: a preferential but non-binding purchase option for Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco. As a reminder, it is worth 20 million euros with activation only possible next summer.
5. Moukoko will extend Dortmund
After a real soap opera with many ups and downs, striker Youssoufa Moukoko, whose contract is due to expire next June, has finally decided to stay at Borussia Dortmund, according to information from Bild. Announced regularly in the Premier League or at FC Barcelona, the young talent is set to be extended until June 2026 with the German line-up.
As well as a signing bonus estimated at 10 million euros, the Germany international will receive an annual salary that could go up to a maximum of 6 million euros. With an official signing expected before the game against Augsburg on Sunday in the Bundesliga, BvB can rub their hands with a big win over Moukoko case.
