An entry level that fulfills its function perfectly
Representing the manufacturer’s entry-level segment, the Redmi Note 11S shares most of its technical data sheet with the Redmi Note 11. Starting with the design, which is almost identical: we find a rather light smartphone (179 grams), with the same dimensions, the same front and back . On the screen side, it has the same 6.43-inch Super AMOLED panel featuring Full HD+ definition with a 90 Hz refresh rate.
The S version also comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, enough to last the phone for 1 to 2 days away from a power outlet. It is also compatible with 33W charging to restore around 50% in about thirty minutes. We also note the presence of an NFC chip, a 3.5 mm jack port, and IP53 certification.
More improved version
One of the differences between the two smartphones is that the Redmi Note 11S is not equipped with a Qualcomm chip, but with a MediaTek Helio G96 chip. It is more efficient than that used in the classic model. In fact, the user experience remains the same and offers good daily fluidity. More on the gaming front, MediaTek’s SoC is more effective. It can run demanding games in higher quality. On the software side, this is of course the home interface of the latest version, MIUI 13 based on Android 12. We will have to wait a little longer to have Android 13.
Finally, in terms of photos the Note 11S differs from the Note 11. If the photo modules are physically identical, the S version offers a main sensor of 108 megapixels versus 50 on the classic model.
