Levante: news and forms

Relegated last spring after finishing nineteenth, Levante is now one of the leading candidates for the climb. At mid-season, the Valencian side were third on 40 points, only two-three behind Las Palmas and Eibar. Today, Levante remains impressive with 14 matches without defeat in the league (8 wins and 6 draws).

Fourth in La Liga ten and thirteen points behind Real and Barça (who are a game behind), Atletico could use the Copa del Rey to shake things up a bit.

In the race for the European title, Atletico lead a group of six teams with two points. Indeed, Atletico have 28 points, while ninth-placed Rayo Vallecano has 26. The Colchoneros need to pull off a winning streak to escape this pack and catch third-placed Real Sociedad with 35 points.

The Colchoneros have never been in trouble and have won successive 2-0 at Almazan (fifth division), 3-1 against Arenteiro (fourth division) and most recently 2-0 at Oviedo (League 2).
