A good investment in time
By retaining the A15 Bionic chip, the iPhone 14 doesn’t have a noticeable increase in performance compared to the iPhone 13. The latter remains quite capable of handling all kinds of tasks without slowing down. The user experience will be smooth whether for multitasking, running heavy applications or 3D games with maximum graphics settings.
Then, Apple generally offers updates over five years, so it’s going to last a long time. For now, you can enjoy iOS 16, with a customizable lock screen and other features. As for the autonomy part, the iPhone 13 lasts a long time, even with quite intense use.

Compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 13 is thicker and only takes up a few grams, but it’s nothing to worry too much about, as it offers good grip with its rectangular format and 6.1-inch diagonal. For those who want a high refresh rate, it remains reserved for the Pro lineup. Here the classic version remains limited to 60 Hz, but navigation will still be pleasant and optimized. The OLED panel is also high quality with better brightness and the size of the notch has been reduced by 20% to free up some space at the top of the screen. However, it doesn’t display much more information, which is quite a shame.
Finally, the iPhone 13 remains a very good photophone. It consists of two 12 megapixel sensors with wide and ultra wide lenses. The only difference compared to the iPhone 14 is that it delivers better performance in low light using the same sensor as the 13 Pro. The shots still offer a very good level of detail.
