PRO D2 – Colomiers and Agents put in a really good move this Pro D2 night integrating the top 6. Mont-de-Marsan for his part regained second place in the championship while Grenoble nearly fell at the Provence Rugby yard. Massy gave himself a chance to defend himself… Here’s the lesson from the championship day 16.
The agent finds the top 6
In the first round Rouennais did not take long to maintain the advantage. Agent, despite the occasional bit of a fever, managed to excel on two tries. But when they returned from the locker room things started to get tough for the locals who saw Rouen score dangerously again thanks to a great effort from Fofana. The reaction was immediate for Bernard Goutta’s men who had too many advantages in this game to let victory slip away. At the last moment, the Agent even offered an offensive bonus and thus returned to the top 6.

Oyonnax is getting more and more powerful
Oyomen was almost taken by surprise by the day’s visitors. In the early minutes of this encounter, Clément Esteriola and his team-mates managed to score again after the first attempt from Oyonnax. 7-7 in the 12th minute of the game, this was the start of the match which showed ASBH’s character as a whole. But Aidinois quickly regained the lead when he returned to the locker room with a score of 28-7. In the second half Oyonnax played their best game and even offered a new offensive bonus. With this performance, the leader slightly widened the gap with the other teams.

Massy was a breath of fresh air for himself
By going up against the Bretons, the graduates showed once again that they have a place in this championship. This Vannes team really suffered in the first half before recovering after the game. But to no avail, this Massicois is determined to muster their fourth win of the season to give themselves a bit of fresh air. Massy remains in the last position of the standings, 5 points adrift of Soyaux-Angoulême and 7 points from 14th place, synonymous with maintaining Pro D2.

Soyaux-Angouleme – Never
It was an electric encounter with lots of clashes without much happening on the counter for a few minutes. And finally it was Nevers who launched a rebellion by scoring the first goal. Dominated for a long time, SAXV sticks to it until the end with gradual pursuit. USON will still have the last word and retain their 10th spot. However, Soyaux-Angoulême held on to ensure their keep just two points behind Carcassonne, 13th in Pro D2.

Mont-de-Marsan on the gong!
It was a very close match at the Aurillac yard. Both teams gave up blow after blow but it was the locals who kept their hands on the whole game. While Aurillac seemed to be holding on to his winning streak, indiscipline ended all hope. The final penalty was over 40 meters and Laousse Azpiazu handed the win for his team. It was success that allowed Stade montois to find themselves in second place in the rankings.

Colomiers good operation
It was a good start for Carcassonne who managed to limit the damage at first before being completely overtaken by the much more realistic Columérins. Weak and without solutions, Audois faced a well-organized visitor who was extremely well placed in defense. This victory is a source of pride for Dove who comfortably occupy the top 6 positions, ranked 5th in the standings. On the other hand, the defeat was even more bitter on the part of Christian Labit’s men who slumped to the bottom of the standings two points from the first relegation.

Grenoble barely maintained its position at the top of the standings
This game is endless! While FCG held on to its lead, late on the tensions of Provence Rugby undid the visitors’ success for the day. After hitting the line for several minutes playing each penalty by hand, the locals recovered the two points in a draw. A disappointing draw for the residents of Grenoble who had everything to secure victory and a more comfortable place at the top of the table.
