8 /10

  • crazy power
  • The design is fun
  • Beautiful screen

Available in €1,999 for Huawei

Despite Huawei’s setback in the mobile market, the manufacturer has decided to take the lead in other markets. In our selection of the best Huawei PCs, you can also find devices belonging to the brand’s lineup. The 2022 version of the Huawei MateBook X Pro is a catalog flagship, with really awesome features. The design is all metal while remaining textured through the use of a magnesium alloy. The screen is retina flattering with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and colors that are faithful.

In terms of power delivery, the Huawei PC relies on a combination consisting of an Intel Core i7-1260p chip and 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The set delivers good performance, but most importantly, the existing cooling system is more efficient than average. However, the autonomy is a bit tight, especially if you ask for a refresh on a 90 Hz screen. Huawei’s flagship is a premium device, and its price reflects this: it is displayed at a recommended price of 2199 euros.

Honor MagicBook 14 Intel RTX 2050 (2022)

  • Autonomy 10 hours
  • Good processor performance
  • Nice design

Available in €1,299 for the Honor

The portable PC market is conveniently locked in a dichotomy between power and mobility. With the Honor MagicBook 14 RTX 2050, mix the two worlds together. This laptop is meant to be rather simple in terms of design as the latter seems timeless. However, at the weigh-in, the scale displays 1.58 kilograms, turning this PC from an ultrabook into a more traditional laptop. It is equipped with an Intel Core i5-12500H with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a GeForce RTX 2050.

This PC is powerful for office software as well as for short gaming sessions. Above all, performance doesn’t come at the expense of autonomy, the latter capable of up to 10 hours of office use. But we’ll regret the screen not being very bright and overheating when the PC is pushed to its full power. The concession to be reckoned with in relation to the price: 1,299 euros.

Lenovo ThinkPad X13s (2022)

  • All terrain design
  • ThinkPad Red Button
  • Screens can be read everywhere
  • Not to power

Available in €2,141 on Fnac Marketplace

The ThinkPad range available in the Lenovo PC catalog is especially designed for workers. With the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s, you’ll have a coworker in your hands… and that’s it. From the looks of the design alone, the focus is on durability and strength. A very useful aspect if you have to move your laptop regularly. The range’s distinctive small red button, placed in the center of the keyboard, allows you to control the mouse. The sRGB display is great and especially lets you read it in direct sunlight.

On the performance front, a configuration consisting of a Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chip coupled with 32 GB of LPDDR4x RAM offers respectable performance, even if the device is primarily reserved for office automation. Theoretically, it’s possible to benefit from more power, but PC software suites are no match. The autonomy imposed made it possible to hold two full days. The Lenovo ThinkPad X13s price shown is € 1709 for the initial configuration with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB storage on the Lenovo site.
