Cdiscount offers the best deal for small Apple smartphones

The iPhone 13 mini is a smartphone at once compact and sophisticated for the Cupertino company. Apple’s newest references don’t often come out with great promotions, but the smallest model currently makes an exception and starts from 809 euros to just 711 euros at Cdiscount.

At the time of writing, only Apple has a real presence in the compact smartphone market. Same size as before, but not the same autonomy

The iPhone 13 mini is part of the latest generation of premium smartphones from Apple. On the design side, taking the straight edges introduced by the iPhone 12, with aluminum trim, of course at the ends. The strength of this phone undoubtedly lies in its compact format thanks to the OLED screen which offers a diagonal of only 5.4 inches. It’s very comfortable in the hand, but maybe a little impractical for watching videos. That said, the panel is of good quality with a definition of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels at 476 dpi, of which the only regret is the refresh rate which is stuck at 60 Hz.

As you know, the smaller a smartphone, the lower its autonomy, because there is less space for a large capacity battery. However, the Cupertino company has made progress compared to the iPhone 12 mini, as it announced that the time ranges from 15 to 17 hours for video playback, depending on the brand. The 13 mini is therefore more durable than the previous one and now has all the cards on hand to last through the day with ease. Wired charging has also been improved, as it only takes 30 minutes to restore 50% of the battery with a 20 W charger. MagSafe wireless charging (15 W) is still in play.

Powerful, but not Pro

Unsurprisingly, the iPhone 13 mini features the A15 chip, which is one of the most powerful processors on the market today. You will be able to play all the games from the App Store and, of course, enjoy a perfectly smooth user experience under the latest version of iOS. However, you should know that Apple wants to differentiate it a bit from the Pro model, because the mini and classic versions have a 4-core GPU, while the A15 chip of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max this time has 5 cores, for more efficiency.

The difference with the Pro model continues in the photo section. Indeed, the 13 mini has 12 + 12 megapixel cameras while the more premium one adds a 12 megapixel telephoto lens with x3 optical zoom and the notable LiDAR sensor. That said, we still appreciate that the iPhone 13 mini’s wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle sensors are 92% larger than the previous generation, to capture more light and reveal more detail.
